In search of a zephyr

In search of a zephyr

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I fell in love with a zephyr once

She made me trip down a sand dune of life

While her smiling presence cooled my foolhardy ego.

I tried to capture a zephyr once

In a bottle of love, like a whimsical genie

But the cork could not hold her, and she blew away

I scouted to find a zephyr once

On mountains, down valleys, wherever love is found

But the only remnant of her was the warmth on my face.

I remained faithful to seek my zephyr once

Or twice, or as many times I could possibly look

But only her breath remained, etched on windy memories.
