When intimacy is fake

When intimacy is fake

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I miss her so much
I told my love guru

He looked at me, blankly

Then looked away, and said

You cannot really miss
What you never truly had

Maybe you tasted the salty spray
Of a wave blown in the wind
Without really swimming in the sea.

Put on your hiking boots
Sell your boat
And put some distance
Between you and the sea
Because that churning wind is coming, again.

solid piece...
avoid the spray
we often only imagine the swim

WOW.
I can relate to this so much. Loving the idea of someone and you may be missing an experience of true, solid love. It made an incredible impact and I'm glad to have read this.

You cannot really miss
What you never truly had

Something that made me stop and think. Is similar to saying if it was never shared did it really exist.

A sobering and sage mix as the guru choses such a wonderful analogy to describe this poor person's unrequited love. A crisp piece which leaves a hollowness and sadness.
