Diamonds in your eyes

Diamonds in your eyes

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I fell and scraped my knee
When I stumbled over
My shadowed heart
I looked up and saw your gentle gaze
With diamonds in your eyes

I fell and scraped my ego
When I stumbled over wayward words
I looked up and saw
Your forgiving smile
With diamonds in your eyes

I fell and scraped my soul
When I stumbled over my cold shoulder
I looked up and saw
Your hand, reached out to mine
With diamonds in your eyes

I fell, and thought, is this love?
When I stumbled over your beauty
I looked up, and wished, to see
More diamonds in your eyes.
