Lost heart

Lost heart

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I found your heart floating downstream
in the cold mountain pool south of the cabin
when I tried to grab it,
it swam upstream, like salmon
and I realized, I'd better let it be -
it seemed so free
surrounded by luscious green
and never-ending indigo blue skies
so when you feel a sudden surge
of life, or love, which you cannot explain -
that is your heart, emanating the beat of your soul
while it swims butterfly
as it watches life spawn
in the cold mountain stream
where you dropped it
once upon a clumsy hike.

oooooo this imagery, with the coldness and the turning away. sometimes it's just not the right synchronicity in time, and since we are running through cycles maybe it will be right next time.
I liked this very much, beautiful
