The final solution*

Extermination of the threat -

no diplomatic means

it is the only way we'll get

salvation for our genes.

The cancer under scalpel's blade

we must purge once for all

the only way this blight will fade

is following the call.

The nation's future rests today

on purity's demand

these miscreants must surely pay

for tying all our hearts.

They wormed their way into our lives

and stole our wealth and goals

it's only right - we'll take their wives,

and kids, and burn their souls.

* The term given by Nazi Germany to the "Jewish problem" during the Second World War. The mind boggles at how, at some stage, German propaganda may have sounded like this. The fact that millions agreed with this, is disturbingly sobering.

The above lines were my favorite. Today we must be careful. Can separate race, color and religion for the foolishness of a few. The world does repeat. The final solution will involve all of us the next time. Thank you for sharing the powerful poetry. left something for the reader to think about.

This is a good write. The horror of the holocaust is something we can only imagine. One thing though is the missed rhyme in the third verse, otherwise well done.

I got chills reading this. How the mind, of not only one person, but a group of people, ends up thinking this way, is not only beyond me, but one of the most frightening thoughts I could ever think of. Once a brain got that way, it could very much happen again. No need to mention certain American politics.

Yes, the warmachine was always cruel, and hurt and killed everything and everyone it could touch. What the nazis did... Well their idea of them belonging to a "higher " class of humans is stupid, but they've all believed it...got obsessed with it.

I think they've all had some kind of mental illness.
