Love at first sight....

I watched her dance from behind the stage curtains
Such elegance and poise mesmerised the moment
Then she saw me and I blushed like a field of red peppers
But she was not upset, but stopped, and smiled,
She walked over to me, and beckoned me to the stage
She started again, five, six, seven, eight
While I sat on the piano stool, like a pianist
Her eyes met mine, five, six, seven, eight
It felt like a dream, as if she danced only for me
At the end she bowed, five six, seven, eight
Without saying a word, she smiled again,
Breathing heavily, her lips moving, I listened,
Thanks for watching
Was all she could say, still out of breath
You are amazing, I said, also out of breath
And in that moment of new born art
We both tasted a little lovely snippet
Of mutual love at first sight.
