Tough day

Tough day

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Fatigue and irritation
Played tag
Between my flowers of anxiety
Where their buzzing
Continuously fail to ensure
Peace's pollination.

Kettle boiling.
Slowly putting feet up.
Exhaling stress
Inhaling peace
Indulging in sweet aromas
Of mouthwatering coffee,
Delectable chocolate chip cookies,
Softened by the best cup of Java
My overstretched wallet could afford.

Somewhere, deep inside,
Life sparks
Like dynamite's fuse
But nothing explodes -
My darkness just burns away
Leaving snippets of light
Dangling in my clarifying puzzle.
As the sun sets, lazily,
Like a war-time telegram
Peace arrives.

I live this game of tag too often! Nicely written.

Well, at least you can get some peace at night. Here's to a good night's rest. Maybe I'll get one of those some day...
