"Love covers everything"

I wrote you a love poem
But my finger slipped
And wiped it out
I was devastated
Because you were on your way
And I wanted to surprise you with it

The door bell rang
I froze
Feeling like someone
Ariving at a birthday party
Without a gift

But when I opened the door
And saw your beaming eyes
I smiled -
The poem
Was written
All over your face.
