The sunset piano

The sunset piano

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano
"

"One of those perfect moments"

"
I bled a song for you
when the sunset cried last night
it tasted like a strawberry daiquiri
it smelled like fresh cut watermelon
it whispered, like Cupid,
just before he let go
of another love-tainted arrow.

Pity I did not see you behind me
nor did I recognize the touch
of your warming hands -
I thought it was
the last dying rays of sunlight.

All my clouds turned pomegranate red
my blushing karma
stealing the memory of that moment
and then
my song
found you.

This is so gloriously beautiful and bittersweet. Such a longing, and hopeful essence, filled with the colors and flavors of loving. Yes, a perfect moment in every way.
