Moondust is ticklish

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano
"

"My coffee ran out so this was a caffeine-withdrawal inspired day-dream"

"

I am the love child
Of the moon and mars
Reflecting the sun's light faithfully at times,
But glowing like lava
When the milky way burns through my veins.
Be careful when approaching -
My surface may either burn your feet,
Or freeze your soul into a pillar of carbon,
But somehow my patient dust waits,
Listlessly churning through space
To be, one day, delighted,
Seeing the happy shadows
Of your sinking carbon footprint,
Warming my stubborn climate
And ushering change
While the thawing dust of my glowing soul
Gets stuck, graciously
Between your toes.

If you get stuck between someone's toes I think you're stuck for life :) I enjoyed this!

Some real nice lines here. I like the feel of it.

Reminds me of the squishiness of sand on a wet beach. :-)

An interesting read. I couldn't help but think of timescales and the slow waking of planets. Perhaps this was not your intent but I also could not help but think of slow but inevitable destruction and a sleeping beast raised.
