Do not fear if others don't understand you;

Does it mean that we understand others only when we understand ourselves, or we can understand others because we do understand ourselves, just we don't want to admit it?

Yep... That elusive understanding......guess there is none so blind as those who do not want to see....sometimes we become that blind fool ourselves....

how true how true ... from the ancient Greeks γνῶθι σεαυτόν know thyself ... it was a warning to those whose boasts exceeded what they were ....
i don't think i have read much on Confucius ... must do that today ... some good thoughts to take with me as they day moves :)

I must admit, at some stage I avoided Confucius due to his "Eastern" roots, but wisdom is universal.....sometimes even an enemy can be blessed with a portion of truth, which may be a "pride" pill to swallow if one is willing to learn....
