Taking stock of the dayA Poem by SleeplessVolcano"newly formed habit"It's an half an hour before bedtime And I deceive my cravings With an oversized mug of decaf, Smothered in pink and white marshmallows. I ponder whether I treated everyone The way I want to be treated; I wonder if anyone suffered today Because I did not pray for them; I imagine seeing the half a dozen angels Keeping me safe through dangerous corners. A smile of satisfaction arrests The worry on my face, Knowing that tomorrow I may get another chance To shine the wayward sunbeam of me And pierce the dark world I call my life. © 2015 SleeplessVolcanoReviews
