Never forget that our siblings pre-date all our other friendships
None of that one bag in a cup nonsense - We'll let the teabags simmer Slowly In grandma's bone china teapot And if we struggle to make small talk Those yummy biscuits with mountain peaks Of rugged chocolate Will loosen our tongues And help us to reminisce Of simpler times of candid bliss A piece of me died when we felled That Norfolk Island Pine All these years later I hope We can find shade in each others words And not allow grass to grow Underneath our feet again.
I so want to sit and have tea in the shade of those words... such an endearing reminder to us all to make time for those who were there before we carved friendships with others outside the house. I like how this is a conversation and there is an unspoken promise to plant another pine :) Beautiful!

Oh wow......your interpretation of the new planting awakens the green giant within....:)
Awww.. this is just beautiful!! What warm thoughts, and heartfelt desires.
I do agree with you - I love tea and that is the best way to have it. Then think about memories of the past while whiffing the sweet aroma. mmmm making me want to write one about my siblings now. :D
