At the end of a dirt road

At the end of a dirt road

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano
"

"Sometimes it is a blessing when the wheels come off"

"
At the end of a muddy dirt road
I took a shower under a rushing waterfall
I thought I felt the burning cold, but I forgot about it
I do remember the mud being washed off my soul
And promising myself, that next time I take this road
I will not be barren
but evergreen.

This is not a picture from Google.....there really is a waterfall at the end of this road, and that shower was amazing...:)

This was wonderfully written. And the fact that it is a personal experience for you I think takes it to a whole other level for your readers, because it's real.

I quite liked this. Great piece.

Hi SleeplessVolcano. What a truly delightful read .The surface of your words is light and bright, but what of the layers underneath?? Mud washing from your soul, terrific line!!! Seems to be your walk to the end of the road refreshed your thoughts, and cleansed your inner soul. Oh show me where to find that road!!!! Loved this, alf

A wonderful picture accompanying a poem that rises the bar within your heart. I know you are at your best when plants surround you, and this poem is a proof of it. :D

that would be lovely
The waterfall at the end of your dirt road is like the the salt water for me... like superman, we need that rejuvenation from time to time so we can rid ourselves of the mud and muck we collect on life's journey. A wonderful write accompanied by a serene picture adding to the comfort of its purpose.

This is actually a good and meaningful poem.
It has a meaning, and isn't one of those vague, pretentious poems that don't rhyme and have no meaning.
Keep it up.

This is what I call an actual poem(mind you, this does not imply that whatever did you write earlier does not come under the category or genre of poetry ;D)
It's so amazing like taking a shower under a rushing cascade..A real waterfall you mean?wowwww

Wow fantastic that this real location has inspired such a piece. The piece has a melancholy to it but also an optimistic slant that suggests surmounting adversity?
