Sunset in the desert

Sunset in the desert

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano
"

Life is colorful everywhere, if one is patient enough to look

"

Pieces of cotton wool
Plaster tired skies
A winking sun gives up the fight,
Alone and spent, it dies.

Yet after death the show continues
A colorful rigor mortis now,
Engulfs shy pink marshmallow clouds,
As peace rests on my brow.

Pretty! I wonder, which desert do you speak of? Perhaps I know the sandpit you describe!

A supreme sunset imagery, mixed with a piece that triumphs at the end of the poem. A gem of descritptive writing.
