Don't Go

Don't Go

A Poem by TheSleeplessKnight
"

They all get sick of me eventually

"
Everyday i feel closer
closer to pressing the blade to my skin just to see what its like
to remind me what pain is
i shouldn't
i wont
but i could

everyday a smile pierces the darkness
when i get to talk to you
i know it wont last
you'll get sick of me like all the others
i don't blame you

everyday i look at myself and know
that i'm the hole in which happiness goes to die
but you somehow make it brighter
a white light in the fog
growing dimmer

everyday i hope you wont leave
i know you will anyway

Wow. I hope this isn't from personal experience but this speaks to me. I'm dealing with depression and this perfectly describes how I feel most of the time. Keep writing! You're very talented.
