A Poem by Dom

I'm talking to the wall because he's my only support.

I said I don't care if my boy plays me like a sport.

That boy has fire in his eyes.

Those pupils grow brighter with every white lie.

If he goes to Hell, I'd go with him, if he should.

Heaven's little angel would sell her soul if she could.

I've got a good heart that bleeds gold.

And his is just rotting, black, and cold.

Love is like a hungry shark.

It will devour me as soon as it gets dark.

I'll remember to never again say " I love you."

He'll just say it back to make me think it's true.

We can fake it til we make it.

And in the end he'll grab my heart and break it.

I must be high because that's the only reason why I'd feel this way.

He can say " I'll be back" and "See you soon", but I know he won't stay.

I'm knocking on his door and calling his phone.

But in the end I get his dial tone.

I've rejoined the ranks of the hopeless and the forgotten.

It's okay because I'm never leaving again.

Anguish brings about some of the best poetry, I think that poetry whether sad or happy or dark needs to be fed by extreme emotion. this piece is no exception to that you have conveyed the feeling to the reader and it makes them feel what you are or were feeling. Bravo

Sad words, but it's "honestly" good.
