When I Fall

I try to start fresh
I try to tell myself it's okay
Hide the hole in my chest
I put on that smile
I'm sure you've seen it around
I wave like I'm happy
Never once look down
Became known as the funny one
The girl with wit
Everyone is unaware
Of how fast I could lose it
In those moments when I begin to slip
I quickly get away
Lock myself in a small room
Cry because I'm out of things to say
I've attempted to get through
Show this other side of who I am
No one can accept it
No one tries to understand
I'm not the worst
I'm not in denial of that fact
I thought this was my life
I don't want to live an act
A simple thing
Is the most complex of them all
I want to live in a place called home
I want someone to catch me when I fall
