Regret, Is It Beautiful?

Regret

People say regret is a beautiful thing

But its not

Regret has this nasty feeling

Were you feel guilty inside

Yet knowing you've done nothing wrong

But still people accuse you

And regret hits your gut so hard you can't breathe

You grasp this feeling not wanting to let go 

This regret makes you feel wanted

This regret makes you feel like someone out there noticed your error

And wants you to regret

But life is a place where people don't often notice you

So this regret you feel is your own error

You try to understand what you did wrong

But find it impossible 

When the guilt is eating you from the inside

Everything is wrong 

You don't want to understand

You cant understand

Yet the guilt has somehow been lifted of your shoulders

Now you understand your error

Regret is a beautiful thing

But I beg to differ
