Bleak Bright Future

Bleak Bright Future

A Poem by Skylar

Have you ever realized that we live with our minds pressed against the windows of our eyes? Have you ever taken a step back from the glass and really looked around. Actually seen inside yourself? Gazing around at the abstract brain architecture that keeps our feeble minds running. The way we act is built brick by brick by our society. The fragile balance we keep is nothing more than us trying to prove that what we were embedded with since we were children is true and right. Your values are not yours, they are your parents. Welcome to the world, do your best and you'll be rewarded post-mortem. Or break out, step back, look around.

Turn on, Tune in, Drop out

"Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds."
-Robert Nesta Marley
