Chapter 39 of "Forbidden Love."

My mind was too wound up to slip away and Quil seemed too excited to sleep either. So we just lied next to each other in one bed smiling at one another until the sun poured in from the window. Quil tugged the blanket up over my shoulder and tucked it under my neck to protect me from the sun. I smiled again at him. It was like all the boundaries between us had fallen and everything was out in the open.

“Thanks.” I whispered.

“Sure,” he said stroking my cheek.

“Can we just stay here forever?”

“Believe me I wish we could,” he laughed, “but we have to keep moving.” I frowned but I knew he was right. I got out of bed with a sheet wrapped around me and tried to smooth my bed head but to no avail.

“I’m gonna shower. Care to join me?” I teased picking out clean clothes. He smiled.

“If I do that then we’ll never leave,” he said. But I wish we could.

“What?” I asked confused.

“I said…” god she looks amazing.

“Thanks you?”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Didn’t you just say I looked amazing?”

“No…” I thought I didn’t.

“You thought you didn’t?”

“Yeah I...wait how did you know that?” It’s like she’s reading my mind.

“That’s because I am!” I exclaimed.

“You’re...what?” he asked.

“I’m reading your mind!”

“Wait, what? How is that possible?”

“The blood bond that has to be it!”

“What blood bond?” Oh right I haven’t told him yet.

“Tell me what?”

“You can read my mind too!”

“Yeah I guess I can. But what’s a blood bond?”

“It happened last night when we exchanged blood a bond was created. And we sealed it forever when we made love.”

“So we’re like, connected?” he asked surprised. I nodded afraid he was going to be angry.

“That’s amazing,” he breathed.

“Really?!” I asked eagerly.

“Yeah now we’re closer than ever,” he smiled. I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around him tightly. He laughed and held me close.

“Go shower so I can and then we can get out of here,” he said kissing my forehead.

“Okay.” I said reluctantly pulling out of his arms.

It felt good to take a shower and do my hair (even though all I did was towel dry it and run a comb through it.) I think the main reason was because I use to do that stuff daily before and it felt good to have a little normality in the morning.

After Quil showered we ordered breakfast and since we had lost all our groceries back at the shoot out we were STARVING. We ate fast and checked out.

“Have a nice day!” called the manager as we left. He was so nice to us; he even offered to carry my bag. And how do we pay him back? We hotwired his Honda Civic. Nice people, aren’t we?
