Chapter 29 of "Forbidden Love."

“QUIL!” I shouted over the gun shots.

“What!?” he said still shooting.

“HE’S A HUNTER!” Quil froze, “HE’S SHOOTING WOODEN AND SILVER BULLETS SO BE CAREFUL!”

“SPARROW GET DOWN!” Quil tackled me to the ground as a wooden bullet smashed another window to pieces.

“What do we do?!” I yelled as more shots ricocheted off the check out we were hiding behind.

“We have to get rid of him!”

“How?! We can’t shoot him clearly because he’ll just kill us both!”

“No I’ll get his full attention and you take the shot with silver bullets. He’s probably a werewolf too.”

“No, Quil No! You’ll be killed!” I screamed.

“If I don’t we’ll both die!” I wanted to argue but I knew we has right, “I’ll be fine I swear, just don’t miss.” I smiled weakly and gripped my gun firmly.

“Okay go!” he gave me a quick kiss and crawled away from me two check outs away. He nodded, stood up and started shooting. He ducked again as the guy shot at him with his gun. One gun. He was still looking for me. I started crawling away ignoring the glass and other debris cutting into my hands and knees. Quil continued to pop up and down like a whack-a-mole. I pressed my back against a magazine stand and peered around the corner. The guy was walking away, both guns firing at Quil.

I quickly spun to my feet and aimed. But I wasn’t the only one with good hearing. The hunter turned towards me.

“NO!” he roared. We both fired at the exact same time. Me and him and him at Quil
