Chapter 26 of "Forbidden Love."

Our food supply was down to a 6 pack of Pepsi and a few bags of chips. So we decided to find a grocery store.

After the incident in the parking lot Quill and I wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible.  We pulled into a Stop & Shop and grabbed a hundred dollars in cash.

          “So what do you want?” asked Quil as we started walking in.

          “Anything sweet.” I confessed. He smirked but didn’t argue.

          “And what about you?”

He shrugged. “Anything that’s not green.” I had to laugh at that.

          “Alright deal.”

They pulled into a parking lot and got out of the car. I abandoned mine and started walking towards them my fingers itching around the trigger of my gun.

      “Now you’re mine!”

Quil stayed close to me as I grabbed various foods and threw them in my carriage. The occasional toss in was all he really did. It was like he was on some sort of high alert.

          We scanned up and down the aisles throwing anything good into our shopping cart until it was almost full with already eatable foods. I reached for a box of Drakes coffee cakes when Quil leaned closer to me and whispered,

          “Don’t look now but I think we’re being followed.”
