Chapter 30

“Mine…mine…mine.” That word. It keeps repeating but from where I’m not sure. It seems to be all around me, getting louder.

      “Mine! Mine! Mine!”

      “Who?!” I call out, “Who are you?” Suddenly I’m surrounded by four blank walls, and only one door right behind me. And then a figure begins to form right before my eyes. A person-no a girl about my height. I see silver hair fall over her dainty shoulders. Then a dress torn all over her body appears. And then her eyes as black as the night open followed by a nose and a mouth. Her eyes are full of pure hatred.

      “It’s you, Eve!” And finally…two hugs black angel wings.

I run.

I don’t know why but I take off out the door leading to God knows where but I still run, afraid for my life. Zach told me to stay away from her and if what he said was true I have every right to fear for my life. I look behind me and see her flying after me, wings beatings hard, her oddly elongated fingernails curled like the claws of a cat. I run faster my arms pumping but it’s no use. I feel her hands clamp down on my shoulders and I cry out as her fingernails dig into my skin. She pushes me but only slightly but it’s still enough to make me trip and fall on my face. I feel blood gush from my probably broken nose. I took back and see “Eve” land gracefully as her wings slowly draw back.

      “W…what do you want?” I asked trying to keep her distracted. She smiled a perfect evil smile at me.

      “I want him.” She whispers crouching next to me.

      “W…who?”

      “ZACHARY!”
