“Mom I’m home!” I yelled. I walked into my living room and saw my parents sitting on the couch with sorrow in their eyes.

    “Honey we have to talk.” Oh god this wasn’t good. My mom gestured for me to sit down with her hand. My dad was the first to speak

    “Jamie you’ve been going to that b-Zachary’s grave almost every day for a month and-”

    “I didn’t know I couldn’t go see my boyfriend!”

    “Of course you can!” my mom jumped in, “but we think it’s time we got you some help.”

    “I’ve told you before I’m not crazy.”

    “We’re not saying that honey,” said my mom, “look Jamie we know you cared for Zach but it’s time to move on.” I shot to my feet.

    “MOVE ON?! He wasn’t just some DOG I can replace he was my everything!”

    “Jamie you’re only 17 in a year you’ll-”

    “What? I’ll find someone else and forget he ever existed?! Well NEWS FLASH mom he meant more to me than ANY ONE including you!” My mom recoiled as if I just slapped her.

    “How dare you young lady!” roared my father. Anytime my dad yelled at me I backed down, but not this time.

    “OH DON’T GIVE ME THAT! HOW CAN YOU JUST TRY AND MAKE ME FORGET ZACH LIKE HE MEANT NOTHING TO ME! And if you send me to a shrink I will never forgive you!” I pushed past them and ran up to my room. I slammed the door just and propped a door under the handle. I pushed my balcony doors open as I was surrounded by cool non judging air. Millions of shining stars dotted holes throughout the sky. I bowed my head letting tears drip off my cheek, and I clutched the wooden railing so hard my knuckles turned white.

    “Jamie?” I spun around ready to rip out someone’s throat but all my anger disappeared when I saw Zach. He was wearing the same clothing I had seen him in at the cemetery. My guardian angel.
