Chapter 24 of "Forever My Love."

I sat up fast. I knew I was in the nurse’s office because of the stale aroma of anti-bacterial cleaning appliances and old woman perfume.

        “Oh so you’re finally awake deary.” Said Mrs. Nelson

        “Yeah…” I said shifting uncomfortably on the cushy rubber bed.

        “How are you feeling?” she said placing her bony fingers across my forehead.

        “Okay. How long was I out?”

        “Ooh about 5 minutes.”

        “Okay…” I said in disbelief because to me it seemed like days. But I still remember everything clearly. Everything Zach told me…right down to the very last words.

She wants to kill you!

        “Can I go back to lunch now?” I asked already walking to the door.

        “Sure as long as you’re feeling up to it.”

        “I am thanks Mrs. Nelson.” I walked back downstairs and found Theresa, Rider, and Rachel sitting at a table in the corner.

        “Hey guys” I say sitting down.

        “Oh my god Jamie! We were so worried!” said Rachel hugging my shoulders.

        “I’m fine really.” I said as nonchalant as possible, “so we still on for tonight?”

        “Hell yes!” said Rach.

        “And it wouldn’t be a party without us b*****s!” said Theresa. We instantly all start laughing our asses off. And in that moment I felt normal again. And tonight I wouldn’t think about anything else but being normal.
