Chapter 19

Chapter 19 of "Forever My Love."

“Jamie, hey Jamie,” Leave me alone, leave me alone, leave.me.alone! “Jamie!”

“WHAT?” I said a little bit too loud.

“Do you have a pencil?” asked Ron. I narrowed my eyes. Ron Grayson was an EXTREMELY popular guy who needed ever girl to worship the ground he walked on. But I hated him and because he knew that HE WOULD NOT LEAVE ME ALONE. And of COURSE he sat right next to me in health.

“Yeah sure.” I grabbed a perfectly sharp pencil from my purse and purposely aimed it at his oh so perfect face. He jumped back and yelped as the pencil landed on his desk as if it was a stick of lit dynamite. Such a wuss! In health Mr. Winston-who was SO old and SO boring-was trying to figure out how to turn on the over head with the help of some braniac named Sunny.

“Uh you all can pick up a book or talk quietly amongst yourselves.” announced Mr. Winston. As soon as the worlds left his mouth the entire class erupted and everyone was already indulged in their own personal conversations. I preferred a different distraction in the form of loud screamo music blasted at full volume from my iPod I kept stashed away in my UGGS. (The only good reason for wearing itchy 100 dollar boots!)

I clicked the on button on my IPod shuffle and slowly snaked my ear phones through my shirt and into my ears. I pulled my hair out of my pony tail so it could hide the cord. “Knives and Pens” was playing at full volume. I learned the trick from Zach after I noticed the cord that stood out from his long hair and confronted him about it. It all made perfect sense how he could sit through an entire Social Studies lecture without falling asleep.

I drowned out the rest of the period with music by dozens of my favorite bands. When it was time to go I simply pulled the earphones out and shoved them back in my boot. The school must really love me because my next class-Spanish-was RIGHT next door. Now I HATED Spanish but I LOVED my Spanish class this year. The reason, we didn’t learn ANYTHING because all we did was watch “Disney” movies in Spanish! Mrs. Hazard had to be one of the nicest teachers EVER. She loved all her students and one time I was really hungry so she got me a water bottle, a glazed doughnut and a couple of strawberries from HER lunch! She was also really funny because the boys ALL sat on one side of the room and the girls on the other and she would always yell at the guys. Pretty entertaining if you ask me.

“Morning Mrs. Hazard.” I said politely taking my seat in the front corner.

“Good morning chika,” she said happily, “how are you?”

“Okay I’ve been better I suppose.”

“I can imagine.” Mrs. Hazard WAS nice and all but I was never good at small talk. So we ended our conversation when the rest of the kids started piling in. As soon as everyone was seated and Mrs. Hazard took attendance we were SUPPOSE to start learning about “boot verbs.” And I do mean SUPPOSE to. Because the class overpowered Mrs. Hazard and five minutes later we were watching “Despicable me.” I doodled the entire period, drawing random broken hearts all over my notebook. And when I got bored with that I started drawing angel wings. Normally I forgot all my dreams almost instantly. But not this time. I can still see the white wings exploding out of Zach’s back. Flying like a bird in the sky. And then those other three. How they seemed so bent on destroying Zach. Their wings totally black. So…evil.  And then there was that girl this morning. Mine! I jolted in my chair now so afraid. I looked around the room, paranoid. I felt like I was being watched, like I wasn’t safe. Like….someone was coming to get me.

iT'S SLOWLY GETTING THERE...mRS. HAZARD SOUNDS COOL and reminds me of my spanish teacher who lets us watch smallville with Spanish subtitles. ^^
