Chapter 18 of "Forbidden Love."

I let my blood drip from the cut on my wrist onto Sparrow’s lips and waited for a sign of life.

“SPARROW!” I yelled, “PLEASE COME BACK TO ME!” Finally her eyes fluttered and she licked her lips. Yes! I saw he fangs push past her lips. Her eyes now open, turned snake like. So it was true, Sparrow’s eyes WERE special. A normal vampire’s eyes just turned red. But with Sparrow her pupils turned to slits and changed to an almost yellow kind of color that seemed to glow. Besides ‘the little bird’ she was known as the serpent of vampires because of her eyes and the way her fangs bent backwards instead of sticking straight.  

        Her true identity. She grabbed my wrist and bit down. Even though I knew her venom had no affect on me I still braced myself for the excruciating pain of her fangs piercing my skin. But the only pain I felt was a double sting and then…everything changed. The cold metal walls that surrounded us fell away. It was just me and Sparrow. Not a hunter and its prey. Instead of feeling pain I felt this sense of giving. Like I was truly giving myself to her. My thoughts, my soul…everything. I felt like I was in a trance but I knew she hadn’t used any sense of hypnosis. Was this normal? I didn’t care I just didn’t want this moment to end, ever.
