Chapter 17

Chapter 17 of "Forbidden Love."

“Sparrow, Sparrow.” What? Who’s there? Who’s calling me? “C’mon baby you can’t sleep forever it’s time to wake up.” Mommy? I open my eyes. It’s so warm here, so bright. Here? Where is here? I feel grass itching the side of my face. Did I pass out outside somewhere? Oh no THE SUN! My eyes finally adjust to the light and I can see again. I’m in a field full of flowers, the sun is shining. Where am I? I stand up and I’m wearing a white night gown like one I use to wear when I was little.

“There’s my little bird.” Says a figure standing 10 feet away. She has beautiful blonde hair that tumbles down her back so perfectly. Her green eyes sparkle along with her smile.

“Mom?” I gasp.

“Welcome home honey.” She says. Two more figures appear running behind her.

“Mommy mommy!” says a tiny voice. Her hair is naturally curled and covers her tiny head. She’s smiling, her little baby teeth showing. She’s wearing a simple white sundress that matches my moms.

“MARY!” I shout.

“Hey no need to yell sis.” says another figure, a boy this time.

“Christian?” my brother’s shaggy blonde hair reaches his shoulders and he’s wearing a white poufy shirt and lose brown pants. My family…

“Who’d you expect?” he teases.

“Shut up.” I say. Everything seems so normal.

“We’ve come to take you home.” Says my mom smiling, “are you ready Sparrow?” I would like nothing more but…something’s nagging at me. Something I’m suppose to remember! Or…someone?

“SPARROW!” I hear a voice scream off in the distance. Then I feel as if I’m being pulled back.

“Mom I…want to come with you all.” I say. They all hold out there hands but I step back, “but I can’t.”

“Of course you can baby.” Says my mom still smiling.

“Yeah it’ll be okay sis.” Says Christian. I take another step back.

“No…I can’t go with you. There’s still so much I have to do. I have to avenge my f-I mean you guys.”

“Sparrow you don’t need to worry about that anymore now please,” says my mom taking a step towards me, “come with us.” I look at her hand reaching out to me, their eyes pleading. I choke back tears.

“NO. I can’t. I have to go back,” I see them flicker as if they’re just simple flames. Pain and sorrow fill their eyes, “I’m sorry mother I’m not ready.” They flicker again and then…they’re gone. I turn and run. Run back to wherever it is I need to go. “SPARROW!” the voice screams again. I run to the source. I will see them again I tell myself but that doesn’t make it hurt to leave them any less. “SPARROW COME BACK TO ME!” Yes. I’m coming, Quil. I’M COMING!

I definetly put a lot of thought into what I thought dying meant. I hope you like it ^^
