Chapter 11 of "Forbidden Love."

I shot up with sweat covering my aching body. My shoulder felt like it was on fire. Damn Gospel! Ignoring the pain I forced my nails into my shoulder and tore out the bullet. How could I have been taken down by that thing?!?

I moved my ankle and heard the sound of a chain. Looking down I glared at the new accessory around it.

“That shackle is drenched in sage so I suggest not moving around so much.” The voice made me jump. I realized it was sitting not far from me. Not heading the hunters warning I jumped off the cot I was sitting on and lunged for him. But the sudden electric shock delivered to my body made me cry out as I landed right at his feet. I noticed an electric collar has been locked around my neck.

“Shouldn’t you be wearing this?” I asked. ZAAP! He showed me the little remote in his hand.

“Just making sure you behave and trust me,” he leaned forward his face inches from mine, “it only gets worse from here.” He stood up as I helplessly tried grabbing at his ankles.

“How pathetic.” He landed a solid kick to my face and walked out, laughing. I crawled back over to the filthy cot in the corner feeling more like the dog than him. Instinctively I reached for my sword but I only grasped air. COURSE! My blood boiled under my pale skin as I imagined him TOUCHING my sword. Without thinking I bit down as hard as I could on the chain connecting me to the floor.

“AGHHH! MOTHER-” my mouth felt like I had just drunk acid and I had broken all my teeth off. No luck there. Maybe I could snap it! But as soon as I touched it my hands were fried. The pain was worse than the electric shock but not by much. All my energy seemed to be drained. I fell back onto the mattress and curled up on my side. I glanced up in the corner of the room; a camera was pointed directly at me. Course he was watching me. I could almost feel his eyes staring at me through the camera. I flicked him off and swore loudly. I felt worthless just lying there. It was 1706 all over again. Me being completely helpless as death crept upon me.

“I’m sorry I have shamed you, Christian…Mary…” I shut my eyes wanting the hunter to come and just drive his bokken right through my heart. A long tone echoed off the metal windowless walls as a large door opened on the far end of the room.

“Chow time baby!” he sneered throwing a blood bag at my head. I tore it open not caring as the blood ran down my shirt making the mattress even more disgusting. A thought hit me, how many vampires have sat here before me and how many have been slaughtered?! I gulped down the blood in two seconds.

“Ooh, hungry aren’t we?” he said moving the chair just out of my reach. I threw what remained of the blood bag at him and licked my lips clean.

“If its information you’re looking for you aren’t going to make me talk.”

“No. I’m here to make you pay for all the blood you’ve shed. For all the lives you stolen! You’re an outcast, a DISGRACE and you aren’t worth the council’s t-”

“SAVE IT!” The familiar pain exploded on my neck. I sprawled awkwardly on the floor. The pain seemed to get worse and worse with every shock. Then I saw why as he turned the dial a notch to the right. ZAAAP!!!

“DAMN YOU!!!” I howled in pain. The smell of burnt flesh wafted through the air. It was even more repulsive than the dog even with it sitting so close.

“BITE ME!” I yelled.

“That’s your job.” ZAAP!!! Then for the 2^nd time that day I blacked out.

I watched her. I watched her as she sprawled pathetically on the floor as I shocked her over and over again. I tried to ignore it but I couldn’t help but feel a part of me hesitate as I turned the electric shock level up to 10. But why?!?! This INSECT is a cold blooded killer! I had seen that first hand TWICE!! Sparrow was unconscious again. Good. Now she can’t look at me with those big green eyes. I rolled her on her back and saw the left side of her neck was completely burnt. This is just the beginning,

“You little LEECH!”
