Third Journal Entry by Jade In "The Messed Up Life Of Jade Porters."

Dear Diary,
I don't have much time to write before I have to go to school. I cannot skip today because my mom has the day off today and will be home. I guess this is sort of good...I get an extra meal. My mom is in the other room eating a plate of eggs that I made. I made scrambled eggs and woofed them down. My mom looked at me weird and I noticed she was staring at my outfit. I guess she hasn't gotten it through her thick skull that I am in fact goth.
I guess you could also classify me as emo since I do cut myself.My mom just asked when I should be leaving. (Translation: Get the hell out of the house so I can drink, smoke, and pass out!) I know my mom hates me. She makes it very obvious. Its only 7:15. I won't be leaving for another 15 minutes. Course time ticks much slower in this house. Somethings on the floor...its a cigarette! Finally my mom made a mistake! This isn't the first time I steal a cigarette from my mom. If I'm really desprate I go into her room (which is where she keeps them) and steal one. If I took more than that she would notice. I light them from a lighter. One of those lighters people use to light a grill or a fire. Huh! I was wrong time does pass fast. I guess its time for me to walk to school. Talk/write to you later!

Good chapter with a little more thought to it. I really like Jane she is a cool girl but yet something worries me! Sounds like she really don't like her mom all that well. I love this book and cant seem to stop reading it!
