Dying...

Death.....some say it is the end of our lives. Others say It is a new beginning.  Some are afraid of the thought of death. Others are fascinated by the concept. But whatever the feelings towards death it will happen to all of us. Each hour, each minute, each second that passes by, someone is dying. Possibly in their sleep, possibly by a weapon. But whatever the cause, they are dying. 

Death is something that should not be feared. It is something that should be embraced with open arms. Everyday we face a new challenge against death. For he decides whether it is our time. Whether we live or die is his choice. Our lives rests in the hands of our creator.

Some may know when it is their time. Others may be taken by surprise. However no one knows exactly what is waiting on the other side. Because no one comes back after they leave. And although many wish to know, all we can do is wait. Wait till it is our time. So then, and only then will you see what it is like to die....

Every second you spend alive is another second closer to your demise. I think death should be embraced, the cycle of life is precisely that, a cycle. A nice piece, everyone should spend some time introspecting on life and themselves. Good write :)

I lied this. I have an acceptance for death. I am not afraid of it. Other times I just welcome it with open arms. Other times I just want it to overcome me. Then I don't want to die. I have depression and bipolar disorder. So when I want to die is when I'm extremely depressed. Thanks for sharing. :)

I won't say anything bad about this, because I know what it feels like to be put down about your work. Anyways, this poem is clever, and (unfortunately) very true. I like the way you set this up, like it's not a poem, but rather, a story. I also like how you included, "Our creator", refering to God. You see, nowadays, not very many people include him in their poems. Nice work. keep it up :)
