The old church in the woods, now being used as a hospital, was engulfed with darkness, and held the sight of injured, dead, and dying men all over. There also were the troops that went inside having marched forward to the scene. It was around midnight when they had come. The building inside and out was disguised with fog, the candles seen as they burned brightly, appearing to float amongst the smoke. There were blood stains and men all across the floor, and the pews too were full of laying bodies. Still, the yard outside was also covered with men’s bodies. There were surgeons operating and yelling instructions, and every so often a scream arose from one of the men. After the soldiers were done there, they left, marching back into the dark woods that they had come out of.

A rather, rather curious case of content.. You were right, referring to the candles; picturing them did make for a slightly image.

When it comes to making an effort, especially for those we don't know, or who we feel aren't useful to us, often we have to fight to find reason to..

Not for me, not anymore! Life's meaning is the use of our intelligence.. there's no better use of it than in talking to other people, and in the process of doing so elevating both theirs and our intelligence to an ever increasing level.

Your content's fascinating.
