God's Winter Wonderland

God's Winter Wonderland

A Poem by Sky B
"

So I wrote this for an assignment and it was kind of meant to be remeniscent of footprints in the sand, so that's on purpose, and yeap that's it i guess. hope you enjoy :)

"

Winter; the season of beauty, joy, and sorrow;

The sky cries white, frozen tears.

The tears gently fall to the ground and sparkle.

I taste them as they fall to the ground below.

They have no flavor or texture.

Once they meet my tongue, they dissolve away.

Each one has a unique pattern.

Together they tell a story and display a picture.

At this time of year, the trees appear covered in frost.

The branches seem limp under its weight.

It is almost as if this season keeps the trees strong though;

Yet, the ice crystals forming on branches seem lost.

When the sun comes out, it merrily reflects off the snow,

And it shines brighter and all the more lovely, as it awaits the spring.

I listen as the birds, all together, sing a song as angelic as the snowfall.

Then I walk forward, stop, turn around, and see two sets of footprints in the snow.
