Your Chance, Be Freed

Your Chance, Be Freed

A Poem by Sky B

Break the cycle, start anew,

Find a way to just be you.

Forget the tradition to break apart,

And bring in a new tradition to start.

Broken homes and broken lives,

It seems to be your fated demise.

But true wisdom tells you fate is not sealed,

Go out and find a way to be healed.

A pleasant talk with a stranger,

Becomes a date with a danger.

The danger is you might fall in love,

But your memories may linger above.

Memories of broken hearts and broken dreams,

Those of all the past broken families.

But the truth of it is, that those are only ghosts,

There to haunt and there to taunt, but they can’t hurt you no more.
