Part of a WholeA Poem by Skylah GinetteMy crystals quiver With distorted energy. I close my eyes To the journey.
My ache is breath, My heart is strained. He stole my skin, Stained it with shame.
My suffering is smoke Stuck inside my lungs. Gasping for air, I choke on my tongue.
Guilt ridden vapour I am forced to breathe. I can't get clean This resin inside me.
I'm just a broken amethyst, Cracked right in two. But I could be whole again, If I was part of you.
I sit at the foot of the mountain, Waiting for the dawn. I cower at the brink of beginning, I'll miss how the starlight shone.
I stare into your tourmaline eyes. They tell me it's okay. I kiss your lips. They bring me to today.
I step into the sun, Fill my lungs with the sky. I clear the smoke. I am free to fly.
You made me remember To feel the world turn, To revel in the wind, To watch the fire burn.
I stare up at the universe As I see it in the sky. I sit in intimacy with nature. In inner peace, I cry.
Eternally we grow, We become entwined. Our third eyes open. We are one mind.
Our bodies may decay, But souls are eternity. We are fused, Melded by energy. © 2015 Skylah GinetteReviews
