Acid Poem

Acid Poem

A Poem by Skylah Ginette
"

Written under the influence of LSD at The Groove music festival in 2013.

"

Tonight,

We are the flower children.

Tonight,

We dance under an untamed nebula

Waiting for pink skies

To signal the sun's return.

The galaxy's dreadlocks

Swirled us into this space,

Challenged us to fight the wind-

To fly, as baby butterflies.

We soar.

Quite the image...baby butterflies fighting the wind yet soaring. The butterfly's path seems random but they always know where they are going even if we don't. Enjoyed ( : O )

Thank you :)
The visions of color and a swirling mind's perceptions ...make for a good pause.

Thank you!
LSD is f*****g magical. I'm jealous you managed to produce something so delicate and beautiful, I've yet to fully work out how to capture the abstract and unimaginable way that I see the world on acid in poetry.
