Finding the Morning

Finding the Morning

A Poem by Skylah Ginette

I'm damned by the darkness

Locked in a moonless dream.

We boycotted the night too long,

Fighting it off with light bulbs

We thought were limitless.

Now, the light is lost,

Like me.

But maybe,

If we search for the sun,

We can find the morning

And breathe a blue sky.
