On Being a Writer

On Being a Writer

A Poem by Roxy

On Being a Writer

Breaking Dawn
Sweet Majesty
Twas near a more glorious morn
My pen will not let memory fade
The wonder of a new day born
Letters dance across the page
With sweet words of orange and pinkish hue
Joyful with their godly praise
Sunrise becomes a brilliant blue
And although I thank the creator
For all creations I see
My thanks in life is none greater
Than the pen he gave to me.

I like this poem. There was one thing that caught my eye though.

"Joyful and their godly praise"

It's just my opinion so feel free to throw it out the window...but I don't like the word "and" in that line. I think the words, "in", "with", or "for" would work better.

Wow. Ah-mazing. It's perfect. Do you like Dickinson? Reminds me of her.
