When you are no longer human

When you are no longer human

A Poem by Stone

When we are lost and all seem bleak,
We turn to our faith ,
Praying for guidance and miracle.

Faith kept us true,
Filling out heart with hope
Preventing us from going astray,
Working towards our goal
Without losing our humanity.

However,
We should bear in mind,
Is our goal and path correct?
There should always be a bottom line
A line that defines our humanity.

When you realise you are building a path
One with the tears and blood of others,
Turn back, don't wait.
Coz,
When you lose the ability to feel remorse,
You are on the path of destruction,
Stubborn insistence might persevere,
But what price to pay,
You will be a rotten mess in heart and soul
A putrid sorry excuse of God's work,,
You will lose all that really matters
Friends, family,love, and yourself.

What price to pay,
You can insist you have won,
Sitting on your pedestal,
Tuck away in your castle
Devoid of respect, love and light
Just an empty cell ,
Filled with fear, jealousy and regrets.

yes, the path that is righteous does not include shedding the blood of others...it encompasses love and understanding for all...it is a really long sentence if we are to spend it in that empty cell.
really poignant write, Stone,
