If onlyA Poem by Stone
Our meeting was ordained by words,
We never met but bonded well, You make me laugh and listen well, You make me tingly and warm It feels great. You ask one day, Are you just a friend or something more, I was hesitant to say more, Coz there is someone still in my heart, One that dwells for decade long. Dare I promise you I will vacant my heart soon, Just wait cause there is hope. I am a coward I dare not leap to ambrace you. You are too good to be true, The first one to treat me like a flower , Telling me it is okay to be weak, Offering to shoulder my world, Sending me gifts and folding stars. But I took the easy way out, I trampled on your heart and pride, I turned down your love Urging you to meet other people All because of my fear. Good things seldom happen to me, Seen too many betrayals to trust anymore I told you I am not perfect, You answered me, I know you are not perfect but you are the best for me. How I wish I am more courageous, Facing up to my insecurities Believing in him, Believing in myself, Hence, we won't have been each others' regrets. © 2018 StoneFeatured Review
