The darkness between the walls(chapter six)

 

Chapter 6

 

Right when we were about to leave the darkness came back. The walls started getting old and ripping. The floor started breaking and the Ravens started flying.

All of us stood quite except Mellissa she started screaming. I tried to shut her up but she wouldn’t listen then the hands came out of the wall and grabbed her I tried to pull her back but the darkness was to strong.

I started to scream at it and try taking Mellissa back but it didn’t do anything it just kept taking her in until she was no longer there. We all ran outside and into the road.

It’s been a long time we’ve seen the darkness of hands on a wall. It’s scary.

“We damned Mellissa” said Legarious.

“No she did it herself I tried to shut her up but she didn’t” I said.

“So, your not sad about this” asked Legarious.

“Yes, but she didn’t listen I tried to help” I said.

“It’s not her fault” said Devin.

I started walking east were we saw the little abounded market.

 

 

 

 

Their was only a couple of things left but at least we won’t starve. My throat started itching and I started coughing. Then I saw blood in my hand.

Wow this was bad real bad. I could be sick. I can’t become one of them I have to get out of her.

“Are you okay?” asked Luis.

“No” I said.

“Let me see” said Luis.

He twisted my hand around and saw the blood.

“Your sick like my sister” said Luis he looked at me in shock.

“I couldn’t be sick I haven’t been near them” I said.

I can’t be I was never near any of them I haven’t even seen one up close enough to get me sick.

 

“Well maybe you went a little too far on your walk” said Luis. He walked away.

“Wait” I said. I pulled him back.

“Don’t tell any of them” I said. I was worried and so was he.

“I won’t”

“Thank you” I said. He walked away and out the door.

 

I saw some papers so I cleaned my hand with them on my way out I saw a map and when I looked at it, it was really small.

 

“Look we should stay some where is getting dark again but we can’t stay at the storage we were they might expect us to be there since we freed Lisa” I said.

 I felt sick. And then in a few seconds while we were walking I started to vomit. But it didn’t look like human vomit at all it was all blood and green.

It made no sense it was happening to fats.

“She’s sick” said Legarious.

“Get away” said Devin.

He handed me a paper to wipe my mouth with.

“Get away from me I don’t want to get you sick” I said pushing Devin away.

“Is okay I don’t mind” Said Devin.

“But I do” I said.

‘I’ll go ahead you guys keep a distance but follow me” I said.

I headed east. I kept on walking and walking. Until I saw a neighborhood it looked like the one we saw when we first got here where we got all our guns.

The weird thing was that they had a fire in the middle of the neighborhood and a body.

“Stay here I’ll be back” I said.

I went to the corner of the sign the neighborhood was called ‘The Sunnyside’. That was a weird name for a neighborhood full of zombies. Then I saw the body that was getting burned or cooked. It was Mellissa.

I gasped a little too loud. All the zombies turned my direction and I froze. They all started running my way. But I couldn’t move.

Devin grabbed me and pulled me back. Everyone started shooting them on the head. Then they all got faster we were running out of bullets so we started placing small rocks on the guns. It was kind of fun like a video game you could saw resident evil. Only that you only get one life.

Then we started running back the way we came from. They all froze where they were. Then they headed back to the neighborhood.

“Wow that was close” said Luis.

“You almost got us killed” said Legarious.

“But we didn’t” I said.

“We could’ve gotten eaten by zombies” said Legarious.

“But we didn’t calm down” I said.

The Ravens came back and it got darker and darker.

“Legarious be quite” I said.

“I don’t wanna” said Legarious in a very high voice.

Then a big whole formed in the ground. Then the hands came back and dragged Legarious down.

“Help me!” screamed Legarious over and over.

Devin and I grabbed him by his hands and tried pulling him out while Luis and Lisa shot at the hands. Then the hands left and Legarious was free.

“Damn that was close thanks” said Legarious.

“No prob-“said Devin.

“I’m sorry Skye is that your sick and I’m freaking out I don’t want to loose you and we already lost Mellissa” said Legarious. He was worried very worried.

“Is fine I fell the same way but we have to stick together like family and not yell at each other or fight” I said looking at everyone. Then we saw in front of us but a few miles away a big gold gate. Maybe this was the way out. We were going to be okay. We were going to leave this nightmare.

But then I noticed a whole bunch of zombies in front of it. They were looking at us. Now we had no idea how to get out of this. It looked like five hundred zombies in front of us and we had no idea how to get over there.

Maybe after all this was the end for us but maybe it wasn’t.

[Coyote Poetry]

I like this chapter. The sickness coming to another. I like the conversation and the situation you create in this chapter. The ending was very good. Always good to leave a open ending. The story is very good. It feel like real people and real life. A excellent story.

Although quite enjoyable to read, it lacks a proper structure and seems unoriginal. The characters all seem to be using the same kind of dialogue, and lack individuality? Furthermore, there are few lines which contain informative or interesting descriptions.
