The Darkness Between the Walls (chapter five)

Chapter 5

 

 

I couldn’t believe it’s been a week it felt like a whole year ob a horror movie where you were lost and didn’t know what to do but the bad one was never there. I felt crazy like if it was a dream. I felt so many ways that I didn’t even know how to express it.

I decided to check my phone just to see if I had signal to call for help or if my parents were worried. But my inbox was empty and I had no signal. Maybe I was dead maybe this whole thing was a scary film or a dream.

I was so confused how can my parents not be worried is not like they didn’t know I wasn’t home. I was miserable here but at the same time I liked it.  

At least I had Devin my best-friend my not real brother but I consider him a brother. A part of me. What could I do to get us out of here? I got up and walked outside. I walked all the way out of the woods into the road until a saw a big white welcome sign it said “Once you get in you will never get out” what kind of welcome sign would say such thing it made no sense it was terrible.

“Where you going?” asked Devin.

“Ahhhh!” I screamed I had no idea Devin was following me it was so quite I only heard my foot steps.

“What do I look like a monster or something?!” said Devin teasing.

“Yeah you do you look horrible you almost gave me a heart attack” I said following his lead.

“That’s offensive” said Devin with a very quite laugh.

“Sorry but you are a monster what do you expect me to say ‘you’re the most beautiful person I’ve seen you look just like diamond’” I said I was smiling.

“Well thank you I didn’t know I was so good looking” he pushed me I haven’t joked like this with him since the accident of us getting stock here.

“I was just being sarcastic” I said.

“Really cause I was about to say the same thing about you but I take it back” said Devin walking away.

“No come over here!” I said pulling him back.

Devin laughed “I knew it” said Devin.

“So why you come all the way down here?” asked Devin.

“I don’t know” I said.

“Well you wanna walk past this big white sign to see what’s over there?” asked Devin.

“Sure” I said.

 

We walked until we couldn’t move anymore. It was like there was a shield.

“Wow what’s going on here?” asked Devin.

“We can’t go past this” I said. I took Devin’s gun a shoot in front of us. The bullet went throw but we couldn’t. Both of our faces were blank we had no idea of what was going on it was very weird.

I gave up I turned around and started walking back into our home minus just get used to saying that since will never get out of here. Since we are always going to be here stuck with nothing to do about it. It was a nightmare that you would never want to see.

I fell down and started crying Devin quickly grabbed me and told me it will be okay but I knew they weren’t going to be okay. Ever.

We got back to the storage and everyone was fighting except Lisa she was coughing and bleeding through her mouth.

“Every one shut up!” I said.

“What’s going on?” asked Devin.

“Lisa is sick she’s probably a zombie or she’s going to turn into one at least” said Legarious.

“No she’s not! She’s been like this since ever” said Luis.

“Okay Lisa keep a distance and if we see anything suspicious you can’t stay with us” I said.

“They injected me with something” said Lisa.

“Shut up” whispered Luis to Lisa but I still heard it.

“They what” said Devin.

“Just do what I say and Luis please don’t hide anything from us” I said I opened my eyes as wide as they could go and made a very angry face.

“Yes ma’am” said Luis.

“We walked all the way to the welcome sign and we tried walking past it but we only got so far we couldn’t go any farther” said Devin.

“Wait what. You were tired or something?” asked Mellissa.

“No, we actually couldn’t go any further it was like we were in a bowl like fish and we only had so much space” said Devin.

“But I shot it and it went through but we couldn’t” I said.

“We’re never going to get out of here are we” said Mellissa.

“No” said Luis.

“What Yo don’t mess with me their has to be a way” said Legarious.

“No were not kidding”

“Will have to go all the way across town and the other side is full and I mean full of zombies we won’t be able to go through without been eaten” said Luis.

“Then we can do it” I said. “Will leave soon in a few minutes so everyone grab your stuff and all the guns also everyone better be holding at least one gun.” I said.

There was hope but that hope might just kill us once we get there. I was scared just like the others. But if we stick together it might not be so bad.

I like the human feel of the story. I like the conversations and the characters in the story. A lot of events are being build up in this chapter. A very good ending. Left a open door for the next chapter. A excellent chapter. Thank you.
