Craving Core [2009]

Craving Core [2009]

A Poem by Skye Céibhfhionn

My Mind can barely hold the image
I see behind my face
That is how Craving takes its toll in my Soul
And I weave a Mirror,
I weave it all just to uphold
the Limitless nature of Being.

We experience Waves unifying their holiness,
rising above undisturbed waters
Embedding love like a comforting breeze,
forming unlimiting places of Sacred.
This, my Love,
is the very crest of living.

Dimensionless have we watched our souls emerge
shift their nuances of enlightenment
shed their tears of unholy judgement
rising on the Wind of Easement
To meet our choices

For now, when rising to the Crest of Life
I silently hide the Crave in my Core
The dreams for More
Watching the waves reaching offshore
Further
by Painting You on a Mirror

This is a beautifully written and simply gorgeous poem. Each time I read it, I find something new that I like. While the spirituality simply flows throughout, it was the literal and metaphorical use of the mirror that really fascinated me.

Mirrors are said to be a reflection of the soul, a reflection that can only hold what is truth. You started by weaving a mirror interlocking pieces of what is true and ended by painting an image on the mirror a truth that you alone hold. Intriguing concepts that cause one to pause and reflect.

Beautifully written and simply gorgeous "The dreams for More"

A mirror for us all to hold.

How true to have said, " Craving takes its toll in my soul". So many times we confuse our wants with needs, our lust with love, or our "Cravings" with must haves. A wonderful depiction of what lies beyond what we see as true and what truth really is. We all may want more, yet we do not need more. Wonderfully crafted!

That opening is really a grabber of attention... so true that we can let our craves make us lose sight of what's important... the whole poem is a great look into the human psyche and how it can be our worst enemy.
