All too alike an Ocean [2004]

All too alike an Ocean [2004]

A Poem by Skye Céibhfhionn
"

Life forms us; gently or violently. I found my upbringing harder than most and struggled a long time to overcome. I changed over and over until memories painted pictures of someone I no longer was.

"

The worries dig graves in the face of my shell-side
Too deep of graves where tears wear out, and hide
until filled up and overflowing my heart
Just like Oceans...
They pass the ebbs and flows of my face
Pass me to Silence
and then...

...Screaming silence turns to Vanishing sighs...

Erased existence;
shell-like waving existence
has no sounding voice...

Just frequencies from the inside;
final frequencies from the deepest inside;
voicing the suffocating struggle to be heard...
But whoever remembers
to listen to the waves of a fiery ocean?

Humiliation leaves craters on an already marked surface
I'm becoming Moon in this world's Vastness
Dead Pieces fall and blend in
until my strand is washed away

All too alike an Ocean
I cry
As I break open a new grave
To die and resurrect in
