QuadrupedA Poem by Skye FieldsIt's a zoo in here!Love is a captive quadruped. It strikes out at random but never leaves the bed. Our hearts are beating against the bed. We love the bed; we paint it red. Last semester all we read were books about virgins blonde and dead. In your bed I was just as dead. We were random virgins in your bed. A zoo broke loose atop your bed. Love was a captive quadruped. We loved and died; our love is dead. © 2010 Skye FieldsReviews
