Broken

Broken

A Poem by Siobhán Kiernan

Stumbling hopelessly,

Lost without your grasp over me.

A wounded heart, a sorrowful soul,

Battling a great heartache.

Pretending to feel whole.

Darkness overcomes light,

No longer feeling the will to fight.

Feeling destroyed,

Not knowing what to do.

Pass me a drink,

Or maybe even two.

A shattered world, I cannot live through,

I need some advice or even just a clue.

You, on my mind,

Recalling your sweet soul so kind.

Still convinced that you must be mine.

Laying down I picture your face,

But it’s too late now,

I have lost the race.

I like the beginning of the poem, it almost sounded like it could be about battling depression. Overall i liked it ☺
