A Poem by Siobhán Kiernan
"

A poem about the realisation of your life and people in it through an injury which leaves you bed bound.

"

White emptiness surrounds me,

Burdening me without fail,

Simple names, silly drawings & spontaneous doodles,

Are nowhere to be found.

A blank canvas of company,

Awakens my mind

Realising what has happened or a lack thereof,

I cover my ears with white emptiness, full of emotion.

I really liked this poem, I feel like it kind of describes a lack of inspiration almost. Like when you know you want to draw or write something but you don't know exactly what. That's kind of what I've been going through in the last few weeks. A certain block. And the metaphor type style you used was really interesting.

Hi, Thanks for the review on my poem!
Also i enjoy this one, reminds me of when ever i need to write a poem about how i'm feeling but can't think of where to start and just look at the white paper, very nice and the words and succinctness is beautiful
