A Taste Of Irony

She could not stand it any longer. She marched to the shopkeeper and glared at him, making him perplexed.

"Someone in your stupid shop is smoking, and the smoke's coming to me! It's lunchtime and while I'm trying to eat my lunch, some idiot has been smoking for around half an hour!"

The shopkeeper scanned the deeply tanned woman who seemed to be around thirty years old. He turned his head slowly, trying to process everything she had said.

"But madam, there hasn't been a smoker in my shop for the twenty years I've been here".

"Don't try to lie to me, old man- I've dealt with people like you before".

The shopkeeper tried not to laugh. His eyes rolled over to spot an opened packet of cigarettes bulging out of her pocket. He tried not to laugh again.
