The Breakup

The Breakup

A Poem by $kullS
"

A heartbroken lover expresses their views

"
The muted cries they would never hear.
Just shattered glass of a memory never held.
You promised, it was forever and now your face is no more.
I still remembered the name.
I still remember the first time we met.
I still laughed at the last time you left.
Somehow, you forgot and feelings were always mutual.
Reflecting on the timeless hours spent in twine.
My plan was to twist our roots, building a vast tree, not to cut you down.
Yet, through your mirrored intentions, these were my thoughts not yours.
So, at last, when you left of course, you took a part of me, but the part that needed to desperately leave.
My side after time itself was forgotten.
This is the essence of silence.
And this will gladly conclude.
